Spindle Law at UCLA

April 6th, 2010 by Nicholas Diamand

Thank you to Kevin Gerson, Director of the UCLA Law Library, and the students in his Advanced Legal Research course who welcomed me to their class last Friday.  I had the opportunity to demonstrate how Spindle Law works both as a research tool and as a growing site for lawyers and law students to share and contribute their legal knowledge.  There were quite a lot of interesting questions during and after the class.  And, we’re very excited at the prospect of having some Bruins participating in the project.

Spindle Law at Columbia Law School

March 12th, 2010 by Nicholas Diamand

This afternoon, I made the second of two presentations of Spindle Law in evidence courses taught at Columbia Law School.  Professors Daniel Richman and Kenneth Feinberg allowed me to sit in on their classes and carved out time for a demonstration of the site with particular emphasis on our evidence section.  We hope students at Columbia, and elsewhere, (as well as lawyers, of course) will find the site helpful as they learn about and practice evidence law and that they’ll be switched on to contributing to the site.

What the Law Is About To Be…

Benjamin Cardozo wrote:  ”[t]he law never is, but is always about to be.”    So, yesterday with excitement, we introduced Spindle  to students at Cardozo Law School, in New York.  Still in private alpha, Spindle will be a resource to students enrolled in Professor Peter Tillers‘ evidence course.  We are looking forward to their feedback and their contributions as we move closer to a broader launch later in the year.
